THE ROLE
The On The Tools client services roles ensure the smooth day-to-day management of a group of key accounts. This ranges from taking client briefs, managing internal resource allocation and monitoring account commercials. The team acts as the face of On The Tools, building long-lasting relationships and helping our clients hit their business objectives.
The role of an Account Manager is to take ownership of all work being briefed to On The Tools and developing strong, long lasting relationships with the client.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
Be responsible for all administrative tasks required on the project management of your accounts. Ensuring tasks are delegated as needed and providing suggestions that would improve processes and efficiency
Lead creative sessions, using your knowledge of the client, their competitors and their sector to ensure ideas will resonate with key stakeholders and customers
Build a robust knowledge of the client's sector, competitors, and customers
Take detailed feedback from the client, ensuring it is accurately briefed back to the Creative and/or Production teams
Support the Senior Account Manager (SAM) and Account Director (AD) as and when required
Lead WIP calls with the client, ensuring that notes are reviewed and accurately shared with all stakeholders
Manage multiple briefs, ensuring project progress is tracked with status sheets and that you have a thorough understanding of the day-to-day project management activities
Strive to strengthen the client relationship, developing a long-lasting partnership
Regularly share any relevant industry or platform insights with the team, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor with your field of expertise
Build a robust knowledge of the client's brand guidelines, allowing you to identify anything that may go against these before work is presented to the client
Develop expert knowledge of our online community and ensure any work produced for a client can also be published to one of our channels
Thoroughly check post-campaign reports to ensure accuracy of data and share all key learnings with the client
Identify potential problems before they become an issue, flagging them to the SAM/AD and supporting them as required
Liaise with finance to ensure all client billing is accurate and carried out in a timely manner and POs are received before commencing work
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Submit resource requests and ensure the Account Executive (AE) sets up Asana projects in a timely manner, alerting other departments to any changes to the brief and/or project timelines at the earliest opportunity
Attend shoots as required, ensuring output is aligned with the brief and expectations of any clients present are well managed
Keep a close eye on spend to ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets, flagging any issues to the SAM/AD at the earliest opportunity
Consider the long term client scope, working with the production teams to consider and prepare for client requirements over the next quarter
Work closely with the SAM/AD, production and creative to ensure locations / props / actors for a shoot are aligned with client expectations and flag any potential issues to SAM / AD
Support the SAM / AD to produce quotes for projects, ensuring the specified budget sufficient cover to deliver high quality work within the agreed scope and a reasonable margin for the business
Liaise with the client and team members across the business to ensure tasks are completed in line with project timelines, problem solving as needed.
Thoroughly proofread content before sending to the SAM/AD for approval to check for inaccuracies, spelling errors or anything that conflicts with the brand guidelines or brief
Develop and maintain strong internal relationships to ensure projects run smoothly
NEW BUSINESS
Work with the senior team and the Business Director to ensure we've got all of the correct information and we're in a position to successfully deliver on client objectives
Work with the creative team to build a response that will both demonstrate On The Tools credentials and provide a creative solution to the client's business challenge
Work closely with the SAM/AD on any pitches that come into the business (<40k+)
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Responsible for mentoring and/or managing, supporting and developing AE and Senior Account Executives (SAE)
Monitor your Business Unit's capacity and raise any potential issues with your SAM or AD in a timely manner
Lead by example by keeping involved with the day-to-day briefs, ensuring that you're able to pick up work from your team members if they're out of the office or over capacity
Carry out monthly catch-ups and six-monthly reviews with your direct reportees, where applicable
Work with reportees to ensure they have access to relevant training to help further their career development
Identify strengths and weaknesses of direct reports with the support of your SAM/AD, providing day-to-day guidance on job performance and career development as appropriate
SOCIAL MEDIA / DIGITAL MARKETING
Build a robust knowledge of the latest social media / digital marketing techniques and apply this knowledge to client projects
Lead with content planning for social media campaigns and retained clients
Lead internal creative sessions, contributing with ideas for concepts and effective social media content
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL
Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects at once
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to develop strong, long-lasting relationships
Meticulous eye for detail to ensure brand and client projects are executed efficiently
Works well as part of a team
Have a valid UK driving license and access to a car and be comfortable with some travel to client shoot locations (some overnight stays may be required)
Have the Right to Work in the UK
Be able to work from On The Tools HQ in Birmingham
THE DETAIL
Holidays: 30 days per year, plus 3 days over Christmas and 2 days wellbeing days
