Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the accounts department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Duties
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, payroll, expenses, pensions, and bank account management.
Prepare quarterly accounts, budgets, forecasts for the board and Senior Management Team.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage and MS Excel
Assist in the preparation of reports and collating of financial data for directors.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Respond to internal and external enquiries regarding accounts and financial matters.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software such as MS Excel and Sage is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
