Salary:

30,000.00-32,000.00 per annum dependant on experience.

On-target Earnings (OTE):

32,000.00-37,000.00.



We are seeking a driven and results-oriented

Account Manager

to join our growing nutraceutical manufacturing business. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's growth strategy by nurturing existing customer relationships, expanding product ranges within existing customer accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across retail, private-label, pharmacy, and branded supplement sectors.

The dedicated

Account Manager

will manage, nurture, and expand a portfolio of nutraceutical clients, building long-term, trust-based relationships. Deliver annual revenue targets and contribute to overall business sales objectives.

Principle Functions & Responsibilities:



Sales and Account Management



Meet and exceed sales targets and quotas. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, including product range extensions, category innovation, and market expansion. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, quotations, and delivery specifications, and closing sales. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to target markets.

Client Education and Relationship Management



Act as the main point of contact between the company and existing or potential clients. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster repeat business and secure profitable growth. Educate clients on the product lines and capacity, including the benefits, proper usage, and scientific evidence (such as clinical trial results) behind the nutraceutical products. Evaluate customer needs by conducting research and active listening to recommend appropriate solutions. Coordinate product development projects, ensuring milestones, critical paths, and launch dates are met. Provide after-sales support and resolving any customer queries or objections to ensure satisfaction.

Market intelligence and Reporting



Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategy and product positioning. Monitor and analyse sales performance data and market trends to provide accurate sales forecasts and make data-driven decisions. Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, manage accounts, record sales activity, and generate reports. Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align sales efforts with company goals and market demand.

Compliance



Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements and compliance within the dietary supplement and functional food sectors. Attend product training sessions to maintain in-depth knowledge of new and existing products.
This role requires the ideal candidate to have strong influencing and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a continuous improvement mindset which will be evidenced in the improvement of customer centric measures.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications



The role of

Account Manager

is multifaceted and requires both industry-specific qualifications and technical abilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Formal academic qualifications are less important than relevant experience and skills; however, candidates who can evidence relevant qualifications and certification may have a competitive advantage.

Formal Education:



Preferred:

An undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Nutrition, or Food Services.

Ideal:

Professional certifications in nutrition, health-related fields, or sales techniques from professional bodies such as, the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.

Experience:



Sales Experience:

Proven B2B (business-to-business) sales experience is a key requirement, ideally, with specific experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.

Industry Knowledge:

A solid understanding of nutrition, supplements, and regulatory standards.

Proven Success:

A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, generating revenue and managing accounts.
