Maintain excellent client relationships across a portfolio of accounts



Manage the relationship with clients, organise and manage regular meetings and promote positive communication between client and agency Maintain a detailed understanding of each client's proposition, business goals and challenges, their competitors, the environment in which they operate and their audiences Deliver outstanding client service by anticipating, recognising and meeting client needs and provide the best value for money in terms of cost/advice

Deliver sound, substantiated media plans in response to client briefs



Understand fully the most effective and latest routes to market across current UK media channels, particularly in digital media, and keep clients up to date on the latest options Ensure media campaigns are objectives-driven, and planned using industry tools, previous campaign data and audience insights

Ensure efficient and accurate campaign delivery



Lead with the wider AKA team to ensure the correct delivery of campaigns, directing the MIT Account Executive on your accounts where relevant Own the media schedule, ensuring it is accurate at all times and shared with the client as necessary Ensure clients are aware of booking deadlines and obtain confirmation to book or release proposed activity according to those deadlines Execute and manage media bookings according to AKA media booking protocols Facilitate the timely supply of artwork and proofs between client and media owner/AKA Biddable team as necessary Make sure that the AKA team's reporting is regular, clear and correct, delivered on time Brief in and manage artwork creation and delivery via AKA Creative Services if required Manage tagging processes to ensure all campaigns are correctly tracked, and ensure reports / dashboards etc are correctly set up before campaigns start

Promote and sell in other AKA services



Make sure clients are aware of the range of AKA services, in addition to media planning and buying. Promote our other teams, such as Creative Services and Audiences & Insights, in order to win more business from existing clients.

Manage client billings and drive profitability



Bill clients weekly and ensure financial forecasts are kept up to date

Maintain relationships with media owners



Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with media reps across all channels Understand key media owners' propositions and the audiences they are able to reach Negotiate best value and rates across campaigns

Contribute to new business pitches



Devise media plans and rationale for new business pitches, and attend meetings with prospective new clients, as required

Notice Period




The notice period for a Media Account Manager is 2 months.


Person Spec



Have a minimum of 2 years' agency experience working within an integrated media agency or media owner, or at least 2 years' experience client side working as a Marketing Manager Demonstrated passion and knowledge for the UK media market with a great working knowledge of UK media channels and contacts within the industry An interest in arts, culture, heritage and live entertainment Experience of planning, buying, delivering and reporting on integrated cross media campaigns Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and lead several campaigns simultaneously This role would suit someone who is confident, service orientated, articulate and a persuasive negotiator Original, insightful, proactive, organised, enthusiastic and ideas driven approach * Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
