Purpose of the Department Function
As part of the global wind sales team, to support the key account managers of the largest accounts with various commercial projects and tasks & to build new or more business for smaller customers or within new areas.
Description of the Role
The Account Manager will support the key account managers of the largest customers with various commercial projects or tasks, and build new or more business for smaller customers or within new areas for Gurit. The account manager will liaise with the organization to be successful in the required endeavours. The goal of the function is to build smaller accounts or new areas into key accounts or core areas for Gurit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business for smaller accounts to ensure profitable growth
- Develop new business for new areas assigned
- Ensure timely response and delivery of key projects or tasks assigned by key account managers
- Identify new opportunities and develop differentiated value propositions based on market terms and customer insights
- Ensure technical, commercial, and operational actions to establish new or changed supply requirements.
- Establish and maintain regular close contact with the network of influencers and deciders within the account organisation and facilitate their contract with key Gurit links.
Skills and Experience
Skills:
Results driven, proactive, rigorous and analytical.
Able to build strong relationships with customers, both with commercial and technical people at all levels and all required parts of the Gurit organization.
Ability to create context from many sources of information.
A passion for providing customers with a very high level of service and support.
Understanding of principles of business as they apply to the customer operation.
Ability to co-ordinate Gurit teams of operational and technical people to deliver results at the customer.
Business English (written and verbal) - essential.
Fluency in a key second language (i.e. Spanish, German, Danish) would be beneficial.
Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems - desireable.
Willingness to travel on a regular basis & when required - essential.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor level or equivalent education in a Technical/Engineering/Business field
Business related qualification (desirable).
Experience Requirements:
Min. 2 - 4 years of B2B / OEM Sales experience (essential)
Experience with customer dialogue in the B2B environment
Experience of Composite Materials environment or Wind Energy (desirable)
Technical/Engineering background in composites (desirable)
Commercial approach or technical sales experience
