Account Manager

Job Summary




As Account Manager/Senior Account Manager, you will work closely with the wider account handling and creative teams assisting on a variety of projects ranging from research/insights gathering to tactical delivery of creative and promotional campaigns. You will be a key part of the team in ensuring that creative outputs are of the highest quality and delivered on time and on budget, whilst proactively working towards becoming a trusted partner to clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



Client Management:



When taking on a new account; fully investigating the history of that account, the client and the product Relationship building and client's day-to-day contact Taking ownership of on own projects and have understanding of full accounts with senior supervision Demonstrating an ability to take a clear brief from client and disseminate information to internal teams Efficiently handling straightforward enquiries from clients and third part suppliers, deferring to senior colleagues as appropriate Providing pitch support to the pitch team and attending pitch meetings

Delivery Management:



Progression of production of materials, including development of production schedules and timelines and participation in briefing meetings with creative team Driving client priorities including resource planning considerations Ideas generation Handling logistical aspects of workload, developing and adhering to timelines with the support of the senior members of your team Leading day-to-day activities on the account Leading status TCs and participate in face-to-face meetings; proactively preparing materials in advance Preparing written materials, including; contact reports, weekly situation reports, agency status reports, day-to-day correspondence and slides Checking quality of materials before release to clients Apply a results-driven approach in moving accounts/projects forward

Team Working:



Working effectively as a team player within the agency and the wider OPEN Health group of businesses Setting up meetings including status update meetings Working with administration support to set-up and manage account systems, including finance, filing, referencing, tracking and resourcing Ensuring senior team members are kept abreast of relevant developments and that advice/input from senior team members is sought as appropriate Liaison with creative and science writing teams

Financial Management:



Keeping within agreed budgets and tracking spend/financial status of projects for which you are specifically responsible Complying with company systems (i.e. completing accurate timesheets) Attending monthly billing meetings to acquire an understanding of the processes involved

Leadership opportunities:



Work towards being a team line manager, demonstrating that the appropriate skills are being developed through the quality of feedback given to juniors and peers Coaching junior members of the team with their day-to-day work and provide support to improve quality Up-manage tasks to senior management Proof-reading the work of juniors Proactively manage accounts and cover for more senior team members when absent Leading whole projects with supervision, knowing when to delegate tasks to others

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications



Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to Clients and creative teams in a simple manner Demonstrate an interest in creativity in the healthcare advertising space (experience working in the healthcare space - advertising/creative agency experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical guidelines is preferred but not essential) Ability to apply 'digital-first' thinking to all activities and has experience delivering digital projects A real team player with a can-do attitude An understanding of the decision-making processes and the ability to work under pressure Willingness to think innovatively and creatively, and to be adaptable/flexible An ability to foster and develop strong professional relationships and become a trusted advisor to clients Proficient in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
