Job Description

ECI Software Solutions is seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join our Distribution sales team in the UK, focusing on proactive account management to support our existing customers' growth and operational efficiencies through our cutting-edge software solutions. This remote role, part of our virtual sales network with occasional travel to our Lincoln, UK office, emphasises building strong customer relationships, identifying upsell & cross-sell opportunities, and ensuring customer retention.


Key Responsibilities




Build and nurture lasting relationships with an assigned base of Distribution customers, serving as their primary point of contact for inquiries and issue resolution. Proactively engage customers through outbound calls, emails, and virtual meetings (e.g., MS Teams) to understand their evolving needs and present tailored software solutions that drive growth and reduce costs. Conduct consultative discussions and demonstrations to educate customers on the features and benefits of ECI's Distribution solutions, articulating a compelling value proposition. Manage the full sales cycle for upsell & cross-sell opportunities, including identifying needs, tailoring solutions, proposing ROI, negotiating, and closing deals within the existing customer base. Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and communication quotas, ensuring high-quality engagement as defined by management. Accurately document all customer interactions and outreach activities in Salesforce, generating regular activity reports. Collaborate with sales and other ECI departments to ensure customer satisfaction, facilitate contract renewals, and minimise churn. Develop a deep understanding of ECI's Distribution software to effectively communicate its value to customers.

Requirements




Proven track record of success in sales or account management, preferably in the software or technology industry. Familiarity with the Distribution or Office Products industry is advantageous; experience with cloud-based or ERP solutions is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and deliver web-based presentations and demos (1-2 hours). Results-driven mindset with a passion for meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving customer growth. Proficiency in CRM tools (strong Salesforce experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Organised and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative approaches. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while thriving in a collaborative team environment. Growth mindset, coachable, and committed to personal/professional development.

Preferred Qualifications




Experience with sales methodologies to support upsell achievements. Experience with Challenger or Franklin Covey sales methodologies. * Familiarity with managing RFPs and professional written/verbal communication.
