Job Description


Our client is a leading integrated medical communications agency working across PR, medical education and advertising. Account growth leads our client to seek an Account Manager to join their award-winning Public Relations and Communications team to work across a range of UK accounts from their Surrey offices. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office.

In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of allocated accounts. Working closely with the account team, you will ensure successful and timely planning, development, implementation of project deliverables, while supporting your Account Director with the strategic development of accounts.

To be considered for this role you must live in the UK within commutable distance of their offices and have significant previous healthcare communications agency experience of day to day managing of accounts.

Responsibilities:

To manage the day-to-day running of accounts and maintain regular client contact
Ensure regular client update or programme/project progress, and manage any changes to planned activities that may occur
Build and maintain contact with key opinion leaders and liaise with and brief opinion leaders on activities related to client business
Develop and maintain media contacts
Provide clear and accurate briefings to team members
Actively support team members in achieving development goals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Life Science, Public Relations or Media Studies degree
Solid experience in healthcare communications, primarily in a healthcare agency environment
Have extensive experience of writing press releases and developing patient materials, as well as project, financial and event management
Be highly skilled in patient PR and communications, stakeholder engagement, brand and internal communications, and disease awareness programmes
Be confident of leading client or project-related meetings, overseeing the creation of accurate contact reports and addressing any actions required to meet client deadlines
Strong presentation, organisational and facilitation skills
Excellent understanding and commercial awareness of marketing and patient communications within the healthcare sector
