Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and financial management, with proficiency in various accounting software packages. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with established guidelines. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft for efficient financial management. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances and trends. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the financial services sector. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft is essential. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience.
