More About The Role




The role reports to the Balance Sheet Reporting & Control Manager- as part of the wider Group finance team. You would have coaching responsibilities for 2 team members. This currently would be an assistant accountant and a graduate. A great role for an individual looking to make a first move into industry or an individual who has audit or management accounts experience.

Responsibilities:


Prepare monthly balance sheets and management accounts, providing commentary on significant movements and variances. Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls over financial processes to safeguard the Group's financial integrity. Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded, filed, and reported accurately.

Business partnering with teams to obtain key information for financial control meetings Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances, and provide insights into their causes.

Support the team with technical expertise relating to project-based accounting Implement improvements of finance processes and reporting

Take a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated

About You




Key Skills;
Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information to diverse audiences.

The confidence & ability to challenge non-finance stakeholders to deliver the right end-results

o Resilience and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment
Strong ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, to work collaboratively to achieve objectives.

o Strong ability to work flexibly - managing changing and competing priorities and absorbing new information rapidly to address complex issues.
Takes ownership and uses initiative to solve problems
