We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inhouse Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and be proficient in various accounting software, including Xero. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall financial management of the organisation. The Accountant will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
Provide insights on financial performance to senior management to aid decision-making.
Utilise accounting software effectively to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Mentor junior accountants and support their professional development through guidance and training.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero is essential.
Experience in financial services or related sectors is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial relevant experience.
