We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic on-site finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial information and will involve collaboration with various departments.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the full month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments across the group
Prepare and produce monthly and annual consolidated financial statements for the group and its three subsidiaries
Liaise confidently and effectively with external accountants, auditors, and other advisors as required
Oversee and maintain accurate stock accounting processes, including reconciliations, valuations, and understanding of cost flows
Ensure timely and compliant VAT submissions across multiple entities, staying up to date with changes in legislation
Develop and maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems
Lead and support two finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
Deliver clear and insightful management reports to support decision-making across production and e-commerce functions
Maintain strong relationships with internal departments (production, operations, e-commerce) to ensure financial alignment
Prepare detailed financial models and variance analyses using Excel
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies
Support ad hoc finance and business improvement projects
Maintain up to date knowledge of regulation, legislation and industry best practices.
Skills
Proficient in financial accounting principles and practices.
Strong experience with accounts payable processes and financial management.
Familiarity with various accounting software packages including Sage.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear reporting of financial information.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in an e-commerce management accountant role.
Qualifications
CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
Preferred: Proficient in accounting online software.

Full Time Monday to Friday between 6am to 6pm
40 hours per week
A 45-minute break - with 15 minutes paid by the company
Holidays:
28 days paid holiday per year
Salary:
30,000.00-37,000.00 per year
Starting at 14.43 per hour, with opportunity for progression and added opportunities.
