KCR Solutions are delighted to be recruiting an Accountant for this successful business based on the outskirts of Gateshead. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager to deliver accurate and timely management information that drives decision-making across the business. Your duties will be as follows:
Preparation of monthly management accounts; journal entries, accruals and prepayments
Preparing key financial reports and managing routine accounting activities
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements across operational teams
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding items are acted upon
Contributing to audit processes, and other statutory reporting
Supporting the preparation of the company's annual budget
Helping to improve and document financial processes
Managing credit control process ensuring credit policy is adhered to
Working with team to do payroll, payment runs, bank reconciliations and journal posting
Reviewing customer terms and conditions for areas of operational risk and advising sales team accordingly
Adhoc analysis of financial data as required
Cover for other members of the finance team
You will be a part qualified Accountant and be keen to develop and progress.You will be able to identify potential improvements to current processes to increase efficiency. Exposure to budgeting and cost centre management would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience with ERP business systems, Sage 200 and payroll systems would be desirable. Strong Excel skills are required.
