About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Accountant to join our finance team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of one or more legal entities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with both local GAAP and group accounting standards. This role requires hands-on experience with SAP, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with operational and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial accounts and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in SAP (R/3 or S/4). Coordinate with local Managing Directors, project managers, and finance teams to ensure accurate financial data. Perform payroll reconciliations and support correct project cost allocations. Prepare local GAAP financial statements and supporting notes as required. Prepare group-level financial reporting packages in IDL, including notes as per the Group Accounting Manual (IFRS-similar). Review accounting entries to ensure compliance with the group accounting manual and consistent application of policies. Act as a key contact for local and group auditors. Prepare analyses and financial reviews for management, supporting business decisions. Ensure accurate intercompany recharges and reconciliations. Support and act as backup for the Group Reporting & Consolidation in preparing the entire consolidated group financials package
Qualifications & Experience

Professional training in accounting with an additional certification. Minimum 5 years of recent experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or project-based industry, managing multiple accounting standards. At least 5 years of experience using SAP; experience with IDL is a plus. Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Language skills: English (full fluency required); German (fluency is an advantage). Excellent process management, data analysis, communication, and change management skills. Reliable, structured, and efficient approach with strong attention to detail.
