Accounts & Management Accountant

to join our expanding team.

The Role



This is a hands-on position for an ambitious accountant who enjoys preparing accounts, producing management information, and ensuring compliance across a varied client portfolio. Reporting directly to the Partners, you will be responsible for delivering accurate statutory accounts, personal tax returns, and management accounts, while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities



Statutory Accounts:

Prepare annual accounts for a diverse range of clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Personal Tax:

Prepare and submit personal tax returns in line with HMRC requirements and deadlines.

Management Accounts:

Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing valuable insights to support client decision-making.

Client Liaison:

Maintain regular communication with clients and partners regarding queries, progress updates, and financial matters.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.

Performance:

Meet individual and team KPIs by working efficiently and proactively.

Client Service:

Deliver an excellent standard of service by managing deadlines, responding promptly to queries, and consistently adding value.

What We're Looking For



AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified/qualified (or equivalent experience) Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a practice environment Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax compliance Proven experience preparing management accounts Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills Organised, proactive, and motivated by performance targets Confident with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
