Job Summary

We are looking to recruit an applicant with extensive experience in commercial accounting, able to work on own initiative, applicants should be conversant with manufacturing accounts processing.

Preferably having practical experience of accounts procedures related to engineering/manufacturing/plant and equipment or similar, rather than an accountancy practice.

Duties will include:

Aged Debtor Reporting and Creditor Control

Euro account transactions

Banking and cashbook

Entering data and overseeing sales and purchase ledger

Producing the monthly management accounts

Balance sheet reconciliations

Bank reconciliations

Accruals and prepayments

Journal posting and control accounts

Fixed asset maintenance and stock control

Quarterly VAT returns and EC Sales

Minimum 3 years relevant experience

Preferably Qualified AAT or equivalent

Experience of working within a hands on SME business

Must be able to work on own initiative and be confident in setting up new accounting procedures

Sage 50 Accounts - ESSENTIAL

Strong MS Office skills - Excel essential.

High levels of attention to detail and accuracy

The role is permanent full time and will suit an experienced accountant with a strong knowledge of Sage, who is willing to be part of a family run business and work through all aspects of the company accounting procedures.

As sole UK warranty, parts and service centre for Faymonville Special Trailers Belgium, Novawinch China, Recovery Systems Holland and Hungary to name a few. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for interesting and varied work including cross border currency transactions and intercompany accounting.
