Accountant (part Time)
Job Description
We are a privately owned family retail business looking for a Part Time Accountant to work at our Head Office based in Gateshead. The successful candidate should have significant experience in Accountancy with a proactive, hands on approach and the ability to implement new systems and procedures.
The hours are to be worked over 3 days, Monday, Thursday and Friday with the possibility for some of it being worked at home. Some flexibility in the number of hours worked is essential to cover for holidays and peaks in the business year.
The role would ideally suit someone qualified to AAT level 4 or similar.
Knowledge of:
Sage 50 Accounts
Sage 50 Payroll
Stock Control / EPOS Systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Duties to include:
Quarterly Management Accounts
Year End Accounts
Vat Returns
Bank Reconciliations
Oversee Stock Control / EPOS system
Reconcile Stock Control System to Sage Accounts
Payroll
Directors Loan Accounts
Cash Management
Purchase ledger processing
Sales ledger processing
Control Account reconciliations
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 17.00-19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 21 per week
