Rebecca Beaton Accountancy Services is a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Barton Upon Humber that has gone from strength to strength and experienced significant growth.
Due to this growth, we are looking to expand our team with an accountant with practice experience, on a part time basis. Hours to be negotiated with a minimum requirement of 12 hours.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and modern practice working in our client services team in a busy, friendly office environment.
Job summary:
Working as part of a team to support our clients in the management of their accounting transactions, provide up to date, accurate, relevant information and support that will allow them to make decisions about their business.
Main duties:
Responsible for managing a portfolio of existing and new clients, weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping
Ensuring monthly journals are correct and resolving any discrepancies.
Review of VAT calculations and submission of VAT return's
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of year end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships Limited Companies and Charities and tax returns
Liaising with clients and their customers/suppliers as required and dealing with queries promptly.
Developing the use of apps and software to support growth and provide value to clients.
Liaising with HMRC and other agencies where required
The ideal candidate:
Must hold a minimum Level 3 AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
Have a minimum 3 years experience within a similar role
Must be confident using online apps and tools.
Experience within a client account management or group accounts position would be advantageous.
Be competent in the use of cloud accounting software across multiple companies.
Have experience with Task Management software.
Be proficient in MS Office
Have an innovative and proactive outlook.
Able to work in a varied and fast-paced environment.
Have a flexible approach time management and prioritisation.
Possess strong communication skills both verbal and written
Be a great problem solver with good attention to detail.
