Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to support our practice with core compliance work across accounts, payroll, VAT, and self-assessment services. This role requires someone who is confident working independently, has strong attention to detail, and possesses hands-on experience within an accountancy practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Prepare and finalise
year-end accounts
using
TaxCalc
Manage
payroll
for multiple clients using
MoneySoft Payroll Manager
and
Sage
Complete and submit
VAT returns
via
Sage MTD
Prepare and file
self-assessment tax returns
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submissions across all assigned clients
Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner
Assist with ad-hoc accounting and compliance tasks as required
What We're Looking For
Minimum
2 years' experience
working in an
accountancy practice
Proficiency with:
TaxCal, Sage
(including MTD for VAT)&
MoneySoft Payroll Manager
Strong understanding of UK accounting, VAT, payroll and tax compliance
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
