About BBC Maestro BBC Maestro is a venture funded start-up, working in close collaboration with BBC Studios, on a mission to revolutionise the way we fuel our creative dreams and ambitions. We offer educational and inspirational video courses taught by the world\'s most experienced creators, each one a Maestro in their field, including: Mark Ronson, Edgar Wright, Julia Donaldson, Alan Moore, Marco Pierre-White, David Walliams, Gary Barlow, Jed Mercurio, and many more. Following a successful two years, we are now aiming to scale our offering through new celebrity talent, new technology, and new team members. About the role As the Management Accountant, you will run the day-to-day operational finance function for the company. You will collaborate with and report into our Finance Director to ensure the day-to-day financial and operational health of the business. This is a part time role, 3 days per week with scope to increase with company growth. Ideally you are based in Bristol area and are able to meet our Bristol-based Finance Director 1 day per week. Salary range is \xc2\xa340-50,000 (subject to pro-rata) Responsibilities Full bookkeeping using Xero. Including processing and filing of all purchase invoices, ensuring all invoices are paid and processed accurately & on time and are filed across the necessary digital platforms. Monthly payroll and pension administration Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts. Produce internal and external cash flow and cost reporting Manage the production accounting process Monthly Cost Reporting of each lesson Prepare monthly management accounts for sign off Quarterly VAT reporting and filing Updating cash flows and budget forecasts Oversee and manage all sales and transactional accounting Support artist royalty reporting. Ad-hoc project work Requirements You are hold or are or working towards an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) You have experience of working in an accounting role in smaller growing company for at least 2 years You are experienced using Stripe, Xero, Excel and Barclays. net You are very detailed orientated. You have established processes and systems that ensure information captured and shared has a high degree of accuracy You demonstrate initiative and self-leadership. You are proactive about planning your time to ensure you are focused on the right priorities. You are a clear communicator. You are effective at presenting information to a variety of stakeholder needs, verbally and written. You can be creative in how financial information is shared to deliver impact. You are empathetic. You understand the needs of leaders and teams running a scaling business You are commercially minded; you understand what financial information supports good commercial planning and decision making. You are highly adaptable.
