We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
Responsibilities
? Preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
? Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
? Utilising Xero for efficient record-keeping and financial reporting.
? Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
? Assisting in budget preparation and forecasting, providing key financial insights.
? Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, conducting audits as required.
? Client onboarding and relationship management to build lasting partnerships.
? Bookkeeping and VAT returns to support clients' tax obligations.
? Statutory accounts preparation (FRS102 & FRS105).
? Corporation tax returns and payroll processing for a variety of clients.
? Self-assessment tax returns, ensuring personal tax compliance.
? Business advisory services to help clients optimise financial strategies
Qualifications
? Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
? Proficiency in Xero accounting software
? Experience in company secretarial duties
? Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
? Ability to work independently and proactively with clients
? Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
? Proven experience in financial accounting or management within a corporate environment.
? Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
