Job Description

We are a well-established accountancy practice located in Colchester looking for an accountant to join our busy team. Our firm has been trading for more than 20 years and we proud ourselves in providing outstanding customer service. As a consequence, 90% of new clients come from recommendations. Over the years we built a solid client base, from various industries, which continues to expand.

Duties:

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for clients` approval Preparation of year end accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders; for review stage Liaising with clients in relation to accounts` queries, accountancy software support, etc. Assisting with other ad-hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

Ideally AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified/part-qualified or qualified by experience Preferably experience in accountancy practice 3+ years, but we are open for options Good knowledge of accountancy software (Iris, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.) Ability to work well under pressure, independently as well as part of the team Initiative and attention to detail

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:

accounting: 3 years (preferred)
