We seek a highly driven, experienced, and organised Book keeper/ Accountant.

The Role



We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who's ready to take the next step in their accounting career within a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and able to manage their own workload effectively while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be liaising with a range of professional organisations including commercial tenants, utility providers, and district councils.

We're looking for someone who's not afraid to take ownership -- someone who wants to mould this position, make it their own, and help us continuously improve how we work within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities



Accounts receivable - raising sales invoices, credit notes, monthly statements, and allocating payments. Accounts payable - processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements. Processing supplier payments and daily bank receipts/payments. Completing bank reconciliations in a timely manner. Supporting monthly payroll processing. Preparing monthly management information reports. Performing daily checks of staff clock-in reports. Liaising with colleagues across departments. Coordinating with external accountants for year-end accounts and tax preparation.

Experience & Skills



Previous hands-on experience in an accounting role. Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience. Proficient in Accounting systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to prioritise a busy workload and maintain attention to detail. Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting.
