We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Duties



Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently Reconcile bank statements and ensure the integrity of financial data Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Support month-end and year-end closing procedures in compliance with organisational policies Monitor financial transactions for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members on accounting practices and software utilisation Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies regarding financial management

Requirements



Proven experience in financial accounting within a professional environment Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is desirable Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Experience in accounts payable management and general ledger functions Ability to analyse complex financial data and present findings clearly Demonstrated mentoring skills with a collaborative approach to team development Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work undertaken Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not essential

Pay: 25.00 per hour
