Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in providing exceptional financial oversight for our organization located in the heart of our community. This role is vital in ensuring that our financial practices align with our mission to support children's development.
Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IAS and IFRS standards.
Create and submit monthly invoices
Liaise with Local Authorities to ensure prompt payment
Manage Xero to ensure bank account reconciliation and day-to-day bookkeeping journals, etc, are up to date
Create batch payments on Xero for supplier payments
Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis
Conduct risk analysis and implement effective financial strategies.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Ensure accurate regulatory reporting and compliance with applicable laws.
Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic financial plans that support organisational goals.
Present at quarterly board
Prepare quarterly covenant calculations as required by lenders
Maintain accurate records and oversee general ledger activities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
Proven experience in corporate or non-profit accounting management.
Strong knowledge of IAS, IFRS, GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on risk management and financial planning.
Proficiency in financial software (Xero) and reporting tools.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor a team effectively.
Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across departments.
