We're seeking a skilled and motivated

Accounting & Finance Manager

to lead our finance function and ensure strong financial stewardship. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, deliver accurate management accounts, support budget holders, and drive value for money -- all while helping shape the financial future of our organisation.

What you'll do:

Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring high performance and accuracy Oversee financial operations, including purchase orders, invoicing, BACS, reconciliations, and reporting Produce monthly management accounts, budget monitoring, and cash flow reports Lead year-end accounts, audits, and statutory returns (including VAT) Maintain effective financial systems and ensure compliance with trust regulations Partner with HR and Admin teams to ensure robust financial control Drive process improvements and evaluate systems for efficiency

What we're looking for:

Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience Strong track record in financial management and reporting Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a small team Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills IT proficiency, ideally with experience of financial systems (ACCESS, Google Docs/Sheets a plus) Knowledge of VAT and school finance regulations (desirable but not essential)
