RSM's Outsourcing team, within the Accounting and Financial Reporting department provide finance function and management accounting services. Our Newcastle and Reading team work with a range of multinational clients, including technology and pharmaceutical sector, and currently have a vacancy for a high-quality accounts assistant/purchase ledger clerk to fill an Outsourcing Assistant role.


As an Accounting & Financial Reporting Assistant, you will support the Outsourcing Senior in delivering a premium client service processing. Typical tasks in role include entering purchase ledger invoices and employee expenses, managing and reconciling vendor accounts, executing purchase payments and performing bank reconciliations.


You'll make an impact by:

Processing of accounting records including cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger Preparing of bank reconciliations Arranging for bank payments and transfers and banking of client receipts Liaising with third parties on behalf of clients e.g. insurance companies, banks Producing accurate accounting records and other work set

What we are looking for:

At least 2 years' experience in an accounting or AP ledger role AAT qualified is desirable A good standard of education with GSCE English and Maths or equivalent Good communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with people at all levels Working knowledge of Excel Self-motivated and organised with the ability to plan own time ensuring targets and deadlines are achieved Aware of client needs and expectations - acting promptly to resolve matters in a clear and professional manner
