Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Monitoring and Payment Operations team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Accounting Operations Manager - Treasury and Payment Operations



This role will report to the Global Head of Monitoring & Payment Operations and will manage 5 direct reports. You will oversee the daily activities of the Cash Control team and manage projects that influence Cash Control processes. Provide expert advice on all aspects of receipt and payment processing and offer project support as a senior member of the Finance team. This includes liaising with senior management, participating in controls discussions, and making informed recommendations. Foster a supportive work environment with a strong focus on staff development by identifying training needs, providing growth opportunities, and encouraging continuous learning to enhance team skills and career progression. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks internal departments and internal teams across EMEA - Europe, UK, Middle East and Africa, to include Treasury, Controllership and Fiduciary.

We will count on you to:



Manage banking platforms and payment processes in full compliance with SOX regulations and financial controls, including but not limited to Independent Validation, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection, segregation of duties, and other relevant governmental and contractual requirements. Ensure strict adherence to Treasury policies and service level agreements (SLAs). Serve as the primary point of contact for banking partners, overseeing day-to-day relationship management. Lead change management efforts and guide teams effectively through evolving environments. Support projects and initiatives, providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency. Apply your expertise in banking platforms. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Empower and delegate responsibilities within the team to foster growth and accountability. Promote collaboration and team building. Combine strategic thinking with both short- and long-term planning capabilities. Make sound decisions while managing risks effectively. Exhibit proficiency in relevant technologies. Drive continuous improvement by leveraging technology to optimise processes.

What you need to have:



A degree-level qualification in Accounting, Banking, Treasury, or equivalent relevant professional experience Extensive Treasury experience within a large multinational organisation, including strong banking knowledge. Significant proven management experience, demonstrating leadership and team development skills. Strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
