Liverpool City Council is delighted to offer an opportunity to join our Finance Apprenticeship Programme. Our training programme offers you an excellent grounding in a variety of roles within our finance team, whilst being fully supported to study a professional accountancy qualification with either the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). The programme is designed to give you the experience, knowledge and understanding you need to be a future finance leader in the world of public finance. It will provide you with a rich variety of training and exposure, with opportunities to contribute to many project initiatives and finance activities tailored to your development needs.

We have the following opportunities:

AAT Apprenticeships (2 Positions) 2 years fixed term with a starting salary of \xc2\xa320,812:

As an AAT Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience while working towards your AAT qualification. We are seeking ambitious individuals who possess:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade 5 or above
  • Numerical aptitude and a passion for finance
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
