JOB SUMMARY



Are you an experienced Accountancy professional with a passion for teaching and coaching? As our Accountancy Tutor/Coach Apprenticeship, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training to our learners, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in Accountacy education. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of accountancy professionals and make a real difference in their lives.

KEY DUTIES:



Teaching and Assessment:



Deliver engaging and interactive apprenticeship sessions on accountancy topics, following the established curriculum using AAT/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA qualifications Assess learners work and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Ensure all assessments are carried out in accordance with awarding body standards and guidelines. Monitor and maintain a caseload of learner progress and provide additional support where necessary to ensure the successful completion of the apprenticeship. Compliant caseload management in ensuring progress are met i.e Apprenticeship Progress, Off The Job Hours, Reviews and evidence uploaded onto e-portfolio system timely.

Programme Development:



Contribute to the development and updating of the accountancy curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and learner needs. Create and maintain high-quality teaching materials and resources that enhance the learning experience. Stay current with developments in the accountancy sector to ensure the programme content remains relevant and up-to-date.

Learner Support:



Provide pastoral support to learners, addressing any barriers to learning and helping them to stay motivated and engaged. Offer career advice and guidance to help learners progress into employment or further education. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.

Quality Assurance:



Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of delivery and assessment. Keep accurate records of learner progress, assessment decisions, and feedback. Attend standardisation meetings and training sessions as required to ensure consistency and quality in teaching and assessment practices.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



Qualifications and Experience:



Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) and/or Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1). Proven experience in teaching and assessing within the accountancy sector. Strong knowledge of accountancy curriculum and current industry practices. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in using digital learning tools and platforms. Experience with government-funded training programmes, such as bootcamps, is desirable. A relevant qualification in accountancy or a related field is advantageous i.e AAT/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA Delivered Level 2 to Level 5 accountancy apprenticeship standards
