Responsibilities:
Manage and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Process payments for self-employed contractors, ensuring accurate calculations and record-keeping.
Perform credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments and managing customer accounts.
Provide support in the showroom, assisting customers and handling enquiries.
Answer incoming calls professionally and direct them appropriately.
Book and manage customer appointments efficiently.
Handle general ledger postings and reconciliations.
Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.
Support the management team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Undertake general office duties to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts administration or a similar financial role.
Working knowledge of SAGE accounting software is essential.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with credit control procedures.
Ability to accurately calculate payments for self-employed individuals.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., showroom, answering calls).
A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
