We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organisation. Duties
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or software upgrades.
Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external partners regarding account statuses and discrepancies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets.
Support payroll processing and related record-keeping.
Assist in VAT returns and other HMRC compliance tasks.
Handle general administrative duties related to finance
Requirements
Proven experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably as an Account Administrator.
Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
