We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts payable, as well as proficiency in Sage accounting software or similar. The ideal candidate will be organised, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent communication skills.
37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 9-5
Duties
Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
Bank reconciliations.
Processing of staff mileage and expenses claims.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets as required.
Utilise Sage accounting software to input data and generate reports.
Maintaining fixed asset registers.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial information is shared across departments.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
Continuously seek to improve processes for efficiency and accuracy within the accounts department.
Use of workflow management platform.
Some PA support for Directors.
Answering telephone enquiries.
Managing incoming and outgoing supplies and equipment.
Assist in the checking and maintenance of equipment records.
Occasional support with customer invoices.
Occasional lone working.
Experience
Proven experience in an accounts administration role or similar position is desirable.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable functions and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Sage accounting software or similar is essential.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
