Accounts Administrator
to manage the company's financial operations, including overseeing payroll, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. This role reports directly to the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
Process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all payments are tracked and resolved.
Payroll Processing:
Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle for employees, ensuring wages, deductions, and statutory entitlements are correctly calculated and paid on time.
VAT Returns:
Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations.
Tax Returns & National Insurance:
Complete and submit tax returns and National Insurance contributions to ensure compliance with UK tax laws.
Financial Reporting:
Monitor financial systems, prepare financial reports and statements, and ensure they are accurate and up to date.
Accounting System Updates:
Regularly update the company's computerised accounting systems to reflect all transactions.
Budget & Cash Flow Management:
Assist with the development and management of budgets and monitor cash flow to ensure the company operates within its financial means.
Cost-Reduction Strategies:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and support in developing strategies to improve financial efficiency.
Document Management:
Ensure all financial records, including invoices, payroll, and tax documents, are properly filed and compliant with company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience working in accounts administration, including payroll processing, is essential.
Payroll Knowledge:
Familiarity with payroll systems and statutory deductions.
Microsoft Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Teamwork & Initiative:
Ability to work effectively with others and take initiative where needed.
Flexibility:
Ability to adapt to changing priorities within a growing company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
