Summary



We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Administrator to join our team at New Milton House. This vital role supports our mission by managing financial records and ensuring smooth accounting operations, contributing to the well-being of our residents.

Scope of the job



Maintain transaction journals.

Maintain the Purchase and Sales ledgers, processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software and filing hard copies.

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

Overseeing the procurement process and purchase order system including preparing payments for authorisation.

Managing residents' personal allowances and trust accounts.

Administer resident billing and fee collection from individuals, families and Local Authorities.

Completing monthly financial statements including Income and expenditure account, cash flow forecast and balance sheet together with variance analysis and recommendations.

Assisting Auditors in the preparation of annual accounts.

Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets.

Advising the CEO and Board of debtor information.

Responsibilities



Full responsibility for the accuracy of accounts.

Full responsibility for the provision of correct and accurate accounting information.

Report any financial irregularities, safeguarding or compliance concerns immediately to the CEO.

Knowledge



Experienced bookkeeper or Accountant.

A working knowledge of accounts software such as Sage or QuickBooks.

Computer literate with keyboard skills and a working knowledge of Excel, Word, databases and e-mail is highly advantageous.
