On behalf of Homes England, we are looking for a Accounts Administrator (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based in Newcastle (initially 5 days a week then 2-3 days later)

With an average annual budget of 6bn, there is a need to ensure that public monies allocated to Homes England are managed timely, accurately and in line with programme parameters.
This role sits within the Transaction Services Team within Finance, and will support the Transaction Services Manager in the delivery of all finance transactional processing activities, maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial ledgers.
As a Accounts Administrator, your main responsibilities will be:
Process high-volume financial transactions, including Purchase Orders, Sales Invoices, journals, and daily payment runs, ensuring compliance with financial Controls
Maintain accurate supplier, customer, and tenancy records, including data input, amendments and recurring billing information.
Allocate receipts, manage unallocated balances, and perform credit control to ensure timely debt recovery and account accuracy.
Collaborate with team members to meet Department KPI's, support process improvements, and contribute to service excellence.
Build strong working relationships across departments to enhance service delivery and support organisational goals.
Provide first-class customer service by managing shared mailboxes, handling post, and responding to internal and external enquiries within agreed timescales.
