An ambitious and rapidly expanding top 50 accountancy practice is looking for a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a Junior or Trainee Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career within a progressive firm that works with a wide variety of owner-managed businesses.
Role Responsibilities
Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for clients including sole traders, partnerships and SMEs.
Carrying out accurate bookkeeping and data processing duties.
Producing management accounts.
Preparing and checking VAT returns in line with current regulations.
Assisting in the preparation of audit files and pre-audit planning tasks.
Providing first-line responses to client queries and supporting ongoing client relationships.
Taking on general administrative tasks as needed within the team.
Personal Requirements
AAT qualified or currently progressing through ACCA.
Previous experience in an accountancy practice, ideally with some exposure to audit.
Detail-focused and client-oriented with excellent time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both clients and colleagues.
A positive, can-do attitude with a team-first mindset.
Analytical thinker with a solutions-based approach to challenges.
Professional and dependable when handling confidential information.
