Full or Part Time role depending on Candidate.

Looking for an accounts role with more than numbers! As a growing successful manufacturing business we need to expand our team with a highly motivated and conscientious candidate. You will play a key part in the smooth running of the accounts, finance and operational functions as well as supporting other areas within the company. This is a varied role and will offer the right candidate an opportunity to gain experience in a number of accounting areas and develop their career.

About The Role



This role is more than just about the Numbers...

Supporting and assisting in customers, purchasing and accounts All aspects of analysis and accounting processes including variances, inventory management, product costings, cost of sales, plan overhead spending and financial management Depending on the candidates aptitude and desire to grow to gain more responsibility, there maybe opportunity to get involved in the value added team within the business, developing process improvement projects to provide analysis on key business issues and support and participate in cross functional teams. Your financial insights will influence business in financial and business decision making. You will help us deliver our objectives by providing and interpreting key management information and analysis.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To assist with the production of Management Accounts and other Financial Reports Monthly bank reconciliations Assist with Budgeting/Forecasting. Journal Entries as required (Accruals, Prepayments, Payroll etc.) Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Chase customers for payment of outstanding debts Assist with Purchase ledger invoice processing Sales Ledger reconciliation- Purchase Ledger reconciliation Expense Claims- Job Costings KPI reporting General Administration Assist with other business tasks within the business as requested Assist with process improvement data capture and analysis

The ideal person will have:


- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounting/book-keeping environment
- Accounting qualification however not essential

- Ability to work on own initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting packages (ideally Sage Accounts or Xero)
- Excellent IT skills
- GCSE English and Maths Grade A - C or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision after training
- Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Be a problem solver with a can-do attitude
- Be able to communicate verbally and orally in a professional manner with people both internally and externally
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- High motivation levels and keenness to work as part of a successful team

Pay: 24,000.00-30,000.00 per year
