Whilst Giffords was only established in 2017, we have continued to grow organically year on year and we are looking to recruit a new apprentice and an experienced Accounts Senior to join our team in Bideford.

Accounts Apprentice - We are looking for an apprentice who would like to start a career in accountancy. Are you good at maths? Do you enjoy working with numbers? Whether you are leaving school/college this summer, or simply looking for a new career with great prospects, we may have the opportunity you are looking for. Whilst no experience of accountancy is required, you will need to have good numeracy, literacy, IT and people skills.

Accounts Senior - As a key team player your role will be hands on with accounts preparation, tax returns, payroll and VAT returns. It will also include reviewing work prepared by the accounts team, liaising with clients and providing them with a range of services, and assisting with the training and development of our junior team members. The successful candidate will share our passion for accountancy and service excellence. You will have excellent numeracy, literacy, IT, and people skills. You will be a highly professional individual with a positive can-do attitude, and be friendly, outgoing and approachable. You will produce high quality accurate work and have a great eye for detail. You must have the ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience and possess the AAT or ACCA/ACA qualification.
