Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our Estate finance team. The successful candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their career, utilising a range of accounting software and systems. The position is suitable for those with prior experience in data entry, accounts receivable. accounts payable, and familiarity with industry-standard accounting software . The role involves working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.

The role will be required to work at more than one location across Luss Estates so candidates must have access to their own transport.

Duties



Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions using recognised accounting software platforms. Perform data entry tasks to update financial records accurately and efficiently. Support month-end closing procedures by reconciling accounts and preparing relevant documentation. Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents. Ensure timely processing of transactions and compliance with organisational policies. Assist in preparing reports related to financial activities for management review. Support audit preparations by maintaining accurate documentation of financial transactions.

Requirements



Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks or Workday. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes and general ledger management. Experience of the hospitality sector would be an advantage. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar programmes is essential. Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role is preferred . Driving licence and access to transport
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 21,367.50-32,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 per week
