We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting department by managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with various accounting tasks. Responsibilities
Assist in processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Assist with data entry and ensure all financial information is up-to-date and accurately recorded.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
Experience
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are a must.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for liaising with colleagues and external stakeholders.
