The Role



The Finance team plays a critical role in supporting the safe and effective running of Hale Private Clinic by ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and smooth day-to-day financial operations.

We are seeking an

Accounts Assistant

to join our small, supportive team. Working closely with the

Head of Clinical Services

and reporting to the

Directors

, you will be integral in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring the finance function runs efficiently in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities



This role requires strong organisational and analytical skills, a sound understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team.

Accurate processing of purchase invoices and sales invoices In-depth Knowledge of XERO Reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts Supporting credit control and monitoring debtor balances Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution Preparing and uploading supplier payment runs to the bank Assisting with month-end procedures and management accounts preparation Providing general finance administration support to the wider team Handling calls and email enquiries from suppliers, insurers, and internal stakeholders Supporting ad hoc finance projects and audits as required Working closely with the Head of Clinical Services and senior leadership team Supporting compliance with internal controls and healthcare governance requirements

Essential Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a finance or accounting administration role Understanding of Xero and preparation of management accounts Excellent administrative and organisational skills High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills IT literate, including Microsoft Office (Excel essential) Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team Professional, discreet approach when handling confidential information

Desirable Skills & Experience



Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, or regulated environment Experience using accounting systems such as Xero or Quikbooks AAT qualification (or working towards) Experience supporting audits or management accounts preparation

25,000 - 30,000 per annum
