We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, including posting invoices, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software Xero
Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding payment queries and maintaining the clients' payments in our CRM.
Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
Utilise accounting software Xero for efficient record-keeping.
Requirements
AAT Level 2 or above (or equivalent experience)
Strong numeracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and XERO (accounting software)
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
Understanding of UK accounting principles and VAT regulations

Familiarity with intercompany transactions.
