We are looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant to assist with maintaining accurate financial records, focusing on ledger activities for purchasing and sales. This part-time role offers flexible hours over three days a week, ideal for those seeking a work-life balance while contributing to a busy finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and update ledger entries for purchasing and sales transactions
Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist with invoice processing and payments
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies
Maintain organized records of financial documents
Address any discrepancies or issues related to ledger entries
Requirements:
Proven experience with ledger work, especially in purchasing and sales
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage)
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently within scheduled hours
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role
Part-time or flexible working experience
