SUMMARY OF ROLE
The main aim of this role is to support the accounts department by filing paperwork, maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, keeping customer and supplier accounts up to date and dealing with any queries.
We are looking for a detail orientated and hard-working individual who is seeking a part-time position in a reputable company. An enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude is essential to work within a close-knit team. Further hours may be available in the future, along with training and progression opportunities.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibilities:
Filing of paperwork
General administrative support to the team
Assist with accounts payable/receivable processes
Maintain accounting system to ensure it is accurate and up to date
Raise and issue daily client invoices and monthly statements
Credit control - by telephone and email, creating stop lists and liaising with other departments when necessary
Allocate client payments and release held orders
Entering purchasing invoices
Assisting with customer and supplier queries
Support the team where needed with reports and audit preparation

Professional experience
Excellent attention to detail (Mandatory)
A good team player and able to work as part of a team (Mandatory)
GCSE's Grades A-C (Mandatory)
An understanding of accounting processes and bookkeeping (Mandatory)
Bookkeeping qualifications, such as AAT or similar (Desirable)
Computer literate with good understanding of Excel (Mandatory)
Excellent timekeeping and attendance (Mandatory)
Self-motivated, possessing problem solving skills (Mandatory)
The ability to achieve targets and timescales (Mandatory)
Organised and methodical (Mandatory)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Mandatory)
