Accounts Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and confident Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with both numbers and people. You'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our accounts department and providing excellent service to our customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:



Reporting to the head of finance Preparing engineers monthly payroll Setting up new customer and supplier accounts on our system Daily debt chasing by phone and email Invoicing previous day's call-outs and obtaining purchase orders from customers Inputting supplier invoices onto Protean Responding to customer and supplier queries via phone and email Reconciling customer payments to invoices on sage Filing of paid supplier invoices

What We're Looking For:



Excellent attention to detail Confident and professional telephone manner Strong communication and organisational skills Experience using sage (experience with Protean is a plus) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience in a similar accounts or admin role is preferred
