The Role

As an

Accounts Assistant

, you will play an important role in supporting our finance function and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of accounts. You will gain hands-on experience in all areas of finance while receiving accountancy training and study support towards a recognised professional qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts Processing invoices and expense claims accurately and on time Helping with cashflow monitoring and reporting Assisting with credit control and supplier payments Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider team

About You

We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Essential requirements:

A degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or a related discipline (or strong numerical background) Good attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and IT-literate

Desirable but not essential:

Previous work experience, placement, or internship in finance or accounting Knowledge of accounting software
