Headquartered in Great Blakenham (near Ipswich), we are expanding rapidly with the new 300,000 sq. ft fulfilment facility based at Port One Logistic Park. Our's is a B2C business, directly servicing consumers with a growing range of premium quality products - from home and garden items, to sport and hardware equipment, from vehicle and DIY projects to business and industry items.
We are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for our Finance department, able to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:30pm.
You'll be responsible for running and analysing multiple forms of data, including management of import purchases and inbound stock. This role will also work closely with different teams like procurement, warehouse operations, and shipping departments, which will require you to have a detail-oriented mindset together with positive proactivity!
Your Typical day would be:
To receive and process all purchase invoices and prepare corresponding import tax reports.
To verify daily stock inbound records with the warehouse team and upload to financial systems.
To maintain and update the shipping details, and coordinate with the shipping team on identifying discrepancies.
To deal with daily transactions for custom agency and shipping line invoices and ensure all related expense ledgers are reconciled and done in an accurate manner.
To prepare monthly cost reports for senior staff to review financial performance.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Prepare import duty and related taxes reports and raise customs-related payment requests.
Liaise with custom agency and HMRC in dealing import tax matters.
Record and maintain stock purchase ledgers and identify warehouse inbound discrepancies.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
Coordinate and support other departments with ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work in diverse company with overseas team members.
