The Accounts Assistant role is to provide a competent, effective, and timely accounting function. Must be pro-active, organised, accurate and efficient to successfully support the business.
To process Purchase Ledger function monthly, within set deadlines, ensuring all information and records are up to date and to support the Accounts Manager with all aspects of accounting compliance and Preparation of Management Accounts as required.
As with any employee there may be times, when they will be requested to take on additional tasks by members of the senior management team.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
PURCHASE LEDGER
Creating Purchase Orders
Booking GRN's onto the system (Making sure the price and quantity match the PO and resolve any discrepancies)
Match Delivery Notes with Invoices (Make sure the price and quantity match to what was delivered question any delivery charges that are not on the PO)
Coding P/L invoices to the right General Ledger Code
Resolving Purchase Ledger and invoice queries
Posting invoice batches and expense batches to the system
Creating Goods Return Notes and Debit Notes
Outstanding order report checks and contact supplier if delivery is late to find out revised delivery date. Advise person who ordered the goods accordingly
STOCK
Raw material stock take
Finished goods stock take
OTHER
Ordering required goods
Arranging of returning goods
Any other tasks given by Manager
Cover for holidays & absences of other team members
Deal with any email enquires

There is also possibility to work on three weekly rota basis ( two weeks Monday to Thursday 7.30 - 16.00 with 30 minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 7.30 - 13.30 with 30 minute unpaid lunch break and followed by one week Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 17.00 with 30 minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 8.30 - 14.30 with 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
