Role Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and well-organised Accounts Assistant to join our team, providing support in both finance and general office administration. This is a dual-role position that combines accounts duties with day-to-day office admin support. Experience using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) is essential, as the role requires daily use of the software for processing transactions and managing financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Process purchase and sales invoices, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
Support VAT return preparation
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Assist with payroll processing (if applicable)
Office Administration:
Provide general admin support to the finance and wider office team
Answer and direct phone calls and emails
Organise and maintain physical and digital filing systems
Order office supplies and manage stock levels
Assist with meeting coordination, document preparation, and company correspondence
Support the onboarding of new staff (e.g. setting up files, equipment coordination)
Requirements:
Prior experience in a similar dual-role (Accounts/Admin)
QuickBooks proficiency is essential
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Professional and approachable manner
